They’ve gone and done it again. The trendy Spanish label Mango has teamed up with Scarlett Johansson to introduce the latest seventies inspired styles for Autumn/Winter 2010. Shot by acclaimed photographer Mario Sorrenti in a swingin’ LA pad, Scarlett looks divine in the line’s reworked British classics. Despite the fact that Johansson is already a reminder of film stars of decades past—full red lips, luscious wavy hair, and those curves!–Mango’s mature new look fits the actress just right, and has us counting down the days until September.

Combining rich textures of tweed, corduroy, fur and silk, Mango’s latest endeavour is a play on proportion. Flowy blouses peak out of structured outerwear worn with wide trousers or long, fuller skirts always emphasizing the waist. Muted paisley prints and geometric jacquards in this season’s favourite colour camel mix with an autumnal palette of grey, chocolate and crimson.Scarlett shines in a blue and white dress with a flounce skirt that looks as if it’s only missing a G&T and some rhythm. A fitted tweed dress with elbow length sleeves and a skinny belt is especially relevant this season, forging toward a more sophisticated, ladylike look.
